Our healthy organic products and our company,’Nutritious Delicious‘ have been developed to satisfy a huge gap in the market. We wanted to create heavenly food that is primarily tasty, mouth watering and totally delicious, while at the same time providing maximum nourishment without over processing or spoiling the natural integrity of the ingredients. Sugars are minimised and replaced, and dairy, artificial flavours and preservatives are nowhere to be found in our products.
Discovering locations in Peru, Mexico and South America abundant in highly nutritious and beneficial fruits and foods, we started experimenting with a range of ‘super’ ingredients to create the perfect healthy indulgent. One that satisfies all cravings for chocolate and that ‘sweet fix’ coupled with unique ability to supplement the diet with a powerful set of anti-oxidants, vitamins and essential fats.
Our organic truffles and chunks contain a low GI sweetener, essential fats, zinc, magnesium, wonderful natural flavours, Vitamin C and high anti-oxidant value.
Moc Chocs are chocolates you can eat all day long without the guilt and boost your nutrient intake. Deliciously nutritious and wholly satisfying in mind and body!
Carey trained and worked as a Physical Education teacher in Sussex for 6 years followed by a year in France. Changing direction to a career in Human Resource Management, Carey set up her own business in 2002 when she had her first child.
With a lifelong passion for exercise, food and health, she then took a home studies course in nutrition from the Institute of Nutrition. Over the next three years, Carey combined her newfound knowledge with her lifelong passion to launch different business ventures, notably summer health camps for children and running a successful series of Healthy Food Clubs at the Lensbury Health Club in Teddington. During this time, Carey also developed a range of recipes for super healthy family meals in association with Ocado – who then published 32 of her recipes under their ‘Healthy Food’ section of their website.
The Healthy Food Clubs focussed on various aspects of health without compromising on the taste and enjoyment of food, (including ‘A Taste for Detox’, and ‘Raising Serotonin’,) and as a result of consumer feedback, Carey began a crusade to develop a ‘Healthy Chocolate’. The Holy Grail was to create a treat which satisfied the need for a sweet craving but without any of the negative connotations. Already confident using a range of ‘free from’ foods in cakes, breads, soups and desserts, Carey experimented not only taking out the ingredients that could be detrimental to health but cramming recipes full of ingredients that helped contribute to optimum health. When friends, colleagues and her 3 children began to rave about the result, she was persuaded to take Moc Chocs to a bigger market.
